This wasn't right. Jessica had woken up in a lot of dark, unfamiliar places before, but this one was... different. For one thing, it was a lot brighter. That, and she felt fully coherent. Or at least more coherent than she had for weeks. Or months. All she knew is that it seemed like she had just blinked and when her eyes opened, she was sitting in this new, pristine room. The walls were completely blank, save for one door on each wall. Where did they lead?
