[OPEN] Party Post!
HERE'S THE DEAL, GUYS.
I'm going to post several thread openers as replies to this post. They'll have headers like an opener discussed in RP 101 Part 2, except without the "Who" because they're all open to everyone. Once I've posted the thread opener, you guys will RP in "sub-threads"--basically, threads within a thread. Make sure to click "reply to this" not "post a new comment." (DON'T GET STRESSED OUT--IT'S JUST THE TERMINOLOGY THAT'S COMPLICATED. THE ACTUAL PLAYING ISN'T.)
It'll work something like
bakerstreet RPing, so you can look there for examples. Here's one example that gives you a good idea how it works... Generally, there will be back and forth between two characters in each sub-thread, and if another character wants to jump in, they'll do so in a separate sub-thread so it doesn't get confusing.
Stuff that happens here can either be used as backstory building for the relationship of your characters or COMPLETELY practice that won't affect the main RP when it gets started--that's up to you and your RP partners.
REMEMBER, THE GOAL IS TO HAVE FUN, so don't stress yourself out! Nothing has to be perfect. No one's going to judge you.
If you have any questions, shoot me an ask or, if you want, my AIM SN is PouffAboutTown, and I'm always happy to talk to any of you.

[OPEN] Filming Marble Hornets
Where: On and around the set of Marble Hornets
What: The cast and/or crew of Marble Hornets hanging out sometime during ~that fateful summer~.
Re: [OPEN] Filming Marble Hornets
He heard some talking, laughing, but all Tim could think about was how badly he wanted a cigarette as one of his hands slipped into his jacket pocket.

His smile widened a bit at Brian's mention of the script, nodding. "Yeah, sure. I'm with you. I mean, he's probably more likely to get after you first, since you're the /star/ and all."

"Hey guys. Ready to start filming, or do you need a few minutes to go over your lines? I don't want you wasting my time again like last week," he said. If he could remember correctly, which wasn't as normal as it should be, most of the filming sessions had just been the crew messing around, not just last week. Alex got a little angry just thinking about how little they had gotten done.
[OPEN] Dream a Little Dream of Me
Where: Headspace~
What: Your characters get yoinked out of any part of the series and share a dream with another character. Maybe they'll say all the things they couldn't if they weren't asleep, or maybe they'll fall into the same cycles they are stuck in when they're awake. Either way, at least it's a break from all the real threats, right?

The place he was in now, awake or asleep, was a hall lined with doors. The walls were white, the doors were white, the ceiling was white, even the tile floors were white.
Maybe there had been a time he'd crouch in a corner waiting this weird dream-or-not out, but that wasn't an option anymore. He went to the closest door and pushed it open.

When the door in front of her suddenly opened the moment she stood to open it herself, the last thing Jessica expected to see was the stranger from the hotel. How long ago even was that? She froze and stared at him for a moment. "...Jay?"
[OPEN] Memory Loss
Where: Anywhere!
What: One or both characters have suffered severe memory loss. Maybe they don't remember the last day, the last week, the last year, or their own name. Whatever the case, the two have to work together to try to figure out what to do now.
[OPEN] Trapped
Where: A mysterious room
What: Two characters are trapped in a room together. There are no doors or windows, just some water and food that'll last maybe a week if they ration it out. What now?
Re: [OPEN] Trapped
(Anonymous) 2013-08-05 10:55 pm (UTC)(link)He moved his head a bit to look around, although that caused him more pain than lying still. So he stayed in this position, staring at a box on the other side of the room labelled "foodstuffs."
His stomach growled at the though of food, but he couldn't do anything about it until the pain went away. Despite his growing panic at being in a strange place with seemingly no outside light, he stayed where he was.

Re: [OPEN] Trapped
She was lying on her side, facing a wall. Jessica had been awake for nearly an hour but hadn't moved a muscle. The reason behind her stillness and her carefully controlled breathing, other than the fact she was used to dark spaces, was because she could hear another person in the room breathing as if they were in a deep sleep. As soon as the breathing changed pace and she heard the tiniest bit of movement behind her, she made an extra effort to quiet her own breath.
An audible growl sounded within the room. Oh, wow, that sounded nasty. Whatever was behind her, was it even human? Could it smell her out in the semidarkness? She stayed still, hoping that a bit of dust wouldn't make her sneeze. Who knows, maybe it smelled fear.
Re: [OPEN] Trapped
He looked to the right and saw someone else lying on the floor. He immediately stopped making noise, although it probably hadn't helped, considering how much noise he had made before.
The person lying on the floor had dark brown hair and was obviously a woman. Two names popped into his head. It was either Jessica or Sarah.
'Or neither,' he thought to himself. His headache soon returned, and he sat motionless, not even willing to risk lying down.
Re: [OPEN] Trapped
Jessica held her breath and squeezed her eyes shut, waiting for something horrible to happen. But all she could feel was an overbearing presence taking extreme notice of her. It didn't seem to be growling anymore. She carefully let out her breath and waited for... something. Anything other than the silence pressing down on her.
After five minutes, she started questioning whether she actually heard anything at all or if she'd been imagining the sounds. Taking a breath and closing her eyes again, she croaked out, "Whatever you're gonna do, just-- just do it."
Re: [OPEN] Trapped
(Anonymous) 2013-08-09 03:31 am (UTC)(link)He was silent for a little longer. Then, he said, "I'm not exactly in any position to hurt anyone right now. I don't see a need for it at the moment, anyways." His voice was rough, like it hadn't been used in weeks.
Alex pondered his situation for a moment. If she was worse off than him, then he could possibly use that to his advantage. If she was doing better than him, he would have to be careful about not showing how weak he was just then.
